3 days in Madrid

We came with speed train (Ave) to train station Atocha and take a walk to our flat in Lavapies quarter.

First, we walked to Royal Palace (Palacio Real de Madrid) and visited it.

Next was to roam the city centre including major sights like Puerta del Sol, Plaza Major, famous shopping street Gran Via.

Prado museum is a must when you are in Madrid and we spent almost half a day inside. Next was to see nearby and really big Retiro Park which was a nice place to hide from sun.

National Archeological museum was a nice discovery and it should be on list for everyone visiting this beautiful city, it gives a nice overview of history of Spain.

At the end one more recommendation, if you have the opportunity, don’t miss a visit to Santiago Bernabeu stadium and even better, if possible, a game there.

Our recommendations:

  • Shopping: in the streets of Gran Via and nearby Plaza del Sol
  • Sightseeing: Royal Palace, Santiago Bernabeu stadium, Retiro Park, streets in the centre and Lavapies neighboorhood
  • Museums: Prado, National Archeologiacal museum

At the end, here are our videos from Madrid:
