After Edinburgh and Aberdeen, out third stop in Scotland was the capital of the Highlands – Inverness. We arrived at train station in early afteroon and walked to our hotel which was at the riverbank (Premier Inn Inverness Centre River Ness), we even had a great view from our window, it was a complete panorama of the city.
We spent whole afternoon wandering the streets of this beautiful town.
After dicovering city centre and castle we walked along the river Ness to the park south of the city.
Second day was reserved for a trip to Loch Ness. We booked a half-day excursion by Jacobite Cruises and enjoyed a nice bus ride to the lake where we jumped in the ship that took as to the Uruquart Castle.
What a place is this! After many photos and short view of VisitiorCentre we was again in bus which took us to Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness Exhibition Centre.
In this centre we saw a nice overview of all the stories connected with lake’s monster – Nessie.
Later, back in Inverness we spend time in shopping and sightseeing.
